A half acre garden on a steep, south-facing slope down to the river Apance in the Renaissance village of Chatillon.The garden falls to the river in terraces, with the medieval village ramparts forming the retaining walls at each drop: formal Mirror Garden with box hedging, Vine Terrace, Iris Terrace, Rose Walk, Long Border and cut flower garden. The owners are passionate about the Apance valley (painted by Chatillon native, Henri Monchablon, in the 19th century), naturalistic planting, herbaceous plants, tulips and roses.

The village lies on the D417 between Bourbonne-les-Bains and Corre. Coming from Corre, take the road in the village up to the left (to the right from Bourbonne-les-Bains), signposted for the old Renaissance centre. Climb the hill to the Maison du Tanneur (on the right) and, just after this the village visitor's centre. The path into the garden is signposted from the visitor's centre.
